"When I found out I had osteoarthritis it actually made me stronger. I thought, well, I’m not going to let this beat me. It feels like a knife in your joint. Not all the time but it’s worse at night time. And it’s made me sort of think how precious mobility is.
"The way I stay fit is I like to go to jazzercise and I’ve always loved to dance. And I thought if you’re in an energetic environment and you’re with people that want to be active, actually that makes you want to participate. And that energy I think flows.
"Osteoarthritis is not going to slow me down. You know, it might be a warning sign that I do have to actually, you know, ramp it up a bit if anything.
"I’m not as young as I used to be but the joy of life is being active. When it comes to osteoarthritis, you be the boss. Don’t let the pain rule you. Be active and enjoy life."
